April 7, 2013 AM Worship

Spring Break means many of the regulars at Vine Street Baptist Church were out of town, sharing God’s love in other places.  The Lord was worshiped by those in attendance.

The service opened with Deacon Wally Jeffries reading Psalm 111 and saying a prayer. Two songs were led by Worship Pastor Chris Wells.

  • Be Thou My Vision
  • How Great is Our God

A time of fellowship was held, then Wells presented a few announcements.  Jeffries returned to the front to welcome guest preacher Keith Grimaud back to the pulpit and said a pastoral prayer. Wells read Colossians 2:13-15 and led Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone). The offering prayer was given by Deacon Ronnie Allen, then the gathered sang while the plates were passed.

  • Glorious Day (Living He Loved Me)
  • O Church Arise

Keith Grimaud served as lead pastor at Vine Street Baptist Church before he and his wife, Deborah, went on the mission field through the International Mission Board. Keith and Deborah served in Paris, France for 10 years. Grimaud spoke about his family, sharing a few pictures (which can be viewed at the end of this post) and the work they did on the field as part of his sermon on Colossians 4:2-6.  The full audio can be heard by clicking on a date link below, or right-click and select “Save As” to save the file to your computer.  Click on the scripture reference to follow along with the reading.
