BCM Members from the University of South Florida to visit Louisville

Vine Street Baptist Church is honored to host seven students from the Baptist Collegiate Ministry University of South Florida during their winter break.  While in Louisville, these students will be working through the Hope Program and serving the homeless at the  Jeff Street Mission.  They are volunteering their time and resources so those who are without might see Christ through them.

The BCM coordinator called several different organizations near the Jeff Street Mission.  VSBC was the only return call they received.  Through a variety of calls, emails, and with much leaning on God to work out all the details, plans quickly came together.  On presenting the request for help at a recent business meeting, the VSBC family approved the request and officially extended a welcome to the visiting group. When the trip is complete, all glory will be given to God.

VSBC also appreciates the cooperation of Sojourn Community Church and the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary while the students are serving in Louisville. Without this assistance, this trip would not be entirely possible.

Please be in prayer for this team as they prepare for their mission experience, which is to be held the first week of January, 2010.
