September 10, 2017 Morning Worship

While the Vine Street Baptist Church family continued to pray for BridgePoint Bible Church in Houston TX, the hearts and prayers of those attending also focused on Florida as that state faced their own hurricane.

The service began with Deacon Chandler Bainter reading Jeremiah 31:31-34 and saying a prayer. Worship Leaders Jacob and Jaime Hatcher led the gathered in song:

Are You Washed in the Blood?

A time of fellowship was held, giving everyone a moment to greet one another and welcome guests. Brandon Saunders closed the fellowship time with a few announcements, then said a pastoral prayer. With him at his guitar and her at the piano, Jacob and Jaime led more songs:

• Nothing But the Blood
• Holy Spirit
• Hallelujah What a Savior

Senior Pastor Spencer Harmon came to the platform to deliver today’s message.

After the sermon, the congregation stood and sang Jesus Paid It All during a time of reflection. Spencer closed the service with an invitation for anyone to speak to a pastor after the service about church membership, becoming a Christian, or to discuss today’s sermon. Spencer read the benediction then dismissed the group.
