April 30, 2017 Morning Worship

On this last Sunday of April, members and guests worshiped the Lord from multiple locations, with a number of members singing and helping at the Harrods Creek Shape Note Convention this morning. All will gather together again next week.

The service at Vine Street began with Deacon Gary Cook reading Philippians 2:3-11 and saying a prayer.  Worship Leaders Jacob and Jaime Hatcher led the congregation in song.

  • How Firm a Foundation
  • Nothing But the Blood

Several minutes were given to allow everyone to greet one another and welcome guests, then Associate Pastor Brandon Saunders presented a few announcements.

  • Update on summer camp fundraising

Brandon led a prayer, then Jacob sang We Will Feast in the House of Zion while the ushers collected the offering.  The gathered stood to sing O Church Arise, then Boyce College Student Josh Bertsch came to the platform to read today’s sermon text.

The sermon continues the verse by verse series through 2 Corinthians. The full audio can be heard by clicking on the date link below, or right-click and select “Save As” to save the file to your computer.  Click on the scripture reference to follow along with the reading.
